At their 135th Annual General Meeting held Monday, June 23, 2014, Barrington Municipal Council approved the budget for the 2014/2015 fiscal year.

After meeting with the Department of Community Services Representatives, Council is not satisfied with elimination of 5 position that will directly affect the service provided to vulnerable children in Shelburne County.
As a result Council has requested a meeting with the Premier and the Minister at their convenience to request continuance of these services in the Shelburne District Office of Community Services.
