Volunteer Week

Shelburne County Lobster Festival

Programs

 Ballet 

The Ballet and Acrobatics program will be starting September 12, 2017
To register contact Lana Townsend at
Ages 3 - 9 for ballet and 3 - 18 for Acro
Classes are Tuesdays and Fridays - times vary

Kung Fu

Participants are asked to wear clothing suitable for bending, stretching, jumping, etc.

Participants must be aged 7 or older.

Ages 7-15 $5 per class

Ages 16+ $10 per class

Our first Friday class will be on September 8 (6 pm to 7:30 pm) and our first Monday class will be on September 11 (6 pm to 7:30 pm) — in the gym of Forest Ridge Academy.

Monday classes will be for teens and up (younger participants would need to be, at least, Level 3 = black belt with two green stripes). This will be the more demanding class, i.e., I am going to — gradually — adjust the level of intensity in order to bring it closer to the “full Vietnamese experience”.

 Friday classes are open to all ages and levels

Sherose Island Nature Trail

Sherose Island Nature TrailThe Sherose Island Nature Trail is currently under construction to expand the trail.

Check back here for updates on the progress.

The nature trail is located on Sherose Island and access to the trail is at the end of the Arena parking lot. (nearest civic address: 12 Park Lane, Barrington NS)

Fire Fighting Course Schedule

When offering these courses firefighters are to sign up so we can plan resources such as fire trucks, tests, handouts, meals in some areas, equipment and Instructors. You can register by email, phone or in person by calling 902-637-2015 or email or drop in the Office.
