The Municipality is proud to celebrate the achievements and contributions of its residents and organizations. Through our Certificate of Recognition Policy, we formally acknowledge individuals, groups, and events that have made a meaningful impact in our community or beyond.
We believe in celebrating the people and moments that make our community strong. If you know someone who deserves to be recognized, we encourage you to submit a request today.
Residents are eligible to receive Certificates of Recognition for the following personal milestones:
Individuals or groups within the municipality who have made significant contributions to the community or have achieved notable accomplishments in sports or other areas are eligible for recognition.
Volunteer firefighters, emergency service providers, and members of fire department auxiliaries are recognized for their dedicated service. Certificates are awarded upon reaching the following service milestones:
And every five-year increment thereafter (e.g., 30, 35, 40 years)
These certificates are signed and presented by a member of Council during a function of the respective fire department or emergency service provider, or at a regular council meeting.

Please allow sufficient time for processing and preparation of the certificate.
All requests are reviewed in accordance with the Municipality’s Certificate of Recognition Policy. Certificates are issued at the discretion of municipal staff or Council, depending on the nature of the request.
Whenever possible, certificates are presented at a public event, Council meeting, or other appropriate gathering. If a public presentation is not possible or requested, certificates may be mailed or picked up at the municipal office.
