Tourism Ambassador

Spend your summer as a Lobster Capital of Canada tourism ambassador! Unleash your creativity and help us promote the Municipality of Barrington! 

Our Tourism Ambassadors will help showcase the Municipality’s tourism assets and demonstrate how residents and visitors alike can visit Barrington & area safely as restrictions begin to ease. Our ambassadors will showcase our community to not only those who choose to visit this year but to those at home to encourage them to choose to visit us when the time is right for them. Ambassadors will be skilled communicators and content creators, with a strong sense of what makes social and digital media engaging. Our Tourism Ambassadors will also provide in-person travel information, counseling and assist with reservations within the region and the province.

Are you looking for an active, fun outdoor job working with children and youth? Send us your resume and cover letter! 
We offer a great learning experience with mentoring, skills development and small group sizes to manage and practice your leadership skills. 

The following positions may be available this summer at Barrington Recreation. Jobs are dependent on the approval of the department budget. 

 Program Coordinator: Day Camps - 2 positions 14 weeks - starts May 23rd

 Youth Active Leadership Coordinator: 14 weeks - starts May 23rd

 Aquatics Coordinator: 14 weeks - starts May 23rd

 Day Camp Leader: 9 weeks - starts June 26th

 Aquatic Instructor/Lifeguard: 9 weeks - starts June 26th (Additional part-time hours available after June 11th)
