MUNICIPAL POOL TO REMAIN CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER DUE TO STRUCTURAL CONCERNS

BARRINGTON, NS, - Due to structural issues discovered in a recent assessment, the Municipality has made the difficult decision to keep the municipal pool closed this summer. The assessment revealed significant concerns, including water loss and structural compromise. As a result, the Municipality will conduct further investigation before determining the next steps.

“We understand that the municipal pool is an important part of our community, especially during the summer months,” said Warden Shaun Hatfield. “However, the safety of our residents is our top priority, and we must ensure that we fully understand the extent of these issues before making any further decisions.”

The Municipality is committed to thoroughly assessing the situation and exploring all available options.
