EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Active Living Coordinator – Full-Time Permanent

The Municipality of Barrington is now accepting applications for an experienced, enthusiastic, and creative person to file the role of Active Living Coordinator.

The Active Living Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Physical Activity Strategy and for the overall promotion, operation, and development of physical activity programs and services of the Recreation Department. 

The Coordinator shall advance the Strategy’s goals by providing leadership and support to community and non-profit groups. The Coordinator shall be responsible for the planning and implementation of various municipal physical activity programs and services throughout the Municipality of Barrington and Town of Clarks Harbour.

The successful candidate should have post secondary education in recreation or a related field (health promotion, physical education etc.) and a minimum of 2 years related experience in recreation, health or a municipal recreation department.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have superior communication, good organization, multi-tasking, and time-management skills. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team and can work evenings and travel for meetings and activities.
